God answers prayers! I’m so thankful for this reality. When I am busy getting bent out of shape about different issues, distracted by my reactions, bitterness taking root, and trying to take things into my own hands, I am surprised at how much I forget that God already knows my issues, my complexities, my programs, and has the answer. So many times beforehand, I have come running to God about different things in my life and He has always provided the way of escape. Why should it be any different any other time? For whatever reason, I treat each time as unique and think that this will be the time where God won’t show up. I’m so thankful that I’m wrong about 100% of the time in this idea.
We face a ton in life. No one, including God almighty, would differ with us when we bring up this point. The power of circumstance and life events is significant, but it is through prayer where we begin to understand that the power of God is so much greater than the issues that we face every day. I don’t think God wants us to diminish our issues and drama or treat those things as though they are nothing. They are something because it impacts each one of us. God cares about the details of our lives and the different things that we face. But, we have to remember that He is right there with us along the way. He is walking with us and guiding us and speaking into our lives to navigate through the issues that we face.
And so… the greater issue is turning to prayer, turning towards the face of Jesus in every season of our lives. It’s not just about praising Him and giving Him glory part of the time when everything is okay in life. It’s about going to Him with a desperation that puts things into proper perspective. He already has it, but our attention needs to be turned towards His voice that speaks life into ours. Receive His power and His will for your life today. And, I’m going to go and do the same. Life is complex, but God is greater still!
