Worth It

It’s been a week since my last camp and I am getting back into the routines of being home. This morning, I decided to spend some quiet time outside along the Erie Canal, drinking tea, and enjoying the moments of silence come awake with the sunrise. It was a beautiful scene watching the sun come up and spending this early morning with Jesus.

We often wonder our impact, our legacy, desiring to know whether or not our efforts were worth it. Safely, I think that I can say that when we stay plugged in, remaining open to hearing and responding to the call of God on our lives, that the legacy that we leave in our wake of life is worth every step. We have a certain way of measuring things and expecting results to often conform to these set of standards, but the most important thing of all is remaining faithful and abiding in the Lord.

We can to do and accomplish the work that God has for us without the leading of the Lord in the first place. In 1 John 2, we read about how antichrists come, but they lack accountability and remaining attached to the important things of the call of God. These individuals do things on their own and in their own strength and ability, not remaining in the truth.

It is impossible for lies and truth to coexist. In the truth, there are no lies at all. We need to remain connected and continue to abide in whatever it is the Lord has for us. If you desire to leave a legacy, be involved in Kingdom work, do something that will forever make a difference, then success is found in abiding with Jesus and not following after the tendencies and the ways of being an antichrist.

Success is found in what Jesus declares and at the end of my life, I would hope that God would say to me, “Well done, my good and faithful servant…” Your legacy matters, but it is worth it to be sold out for the call of God on your life before anything else! Go in that reality as you begin your day today and start off a fresh, new, and exciting week ahead of you!

For the Kingdom, Jay
