Desiring Prayer

IMG_7776

A man who lived in a town had recently moved from his old surroundings and all the things that were once familiar to him. He didn’t know the buildings, the people, the culture, or the happenings within that town. He didn’t even know where to go for advice. He would search around looking for answers to his seemingly innocent and easy questions, but no response would come. He continued to navigate to try and find what would become his new normal, his new routine, and his new environment.

The problem? The man was blind and he could only see shapes and shadows. Thinking these different objects were human, he would stop and talk to these inanimate things only to continue on the pathway of discouragement. The man continued to feel hopeless he met a human on his journey, who had a voice that could tell him all about his new surroundings. Familiarity began to set in easing the discomfort of this strange new world. The point of connection for this man was hearing a voice in a new and unfamiliar place.

Much like this man, we can find ourselves pursuing the wrong things. We might be looking in all the wrong places for the understanding that we need inside. I would encourage you to turn towards the Lord. Look for Jesus. Desire prayer! It’s more than just talking to someone, it’s also listening. After all, when you receive a divine point of connection, you will begin to understand His qualities and His attributes in your everyday life. Experience His surroundings in your world, experience prayer, experience the Lord!

Much Love, Jay
