New website coming soon!
1.31.2012
It is exciting to begin new things and to have new seasons of life. As such, we are retiring the old website. Things might not look a lot different, but there is a new website that will be launching by the end of the week. And while it might not look a lot different, the feel for it might change a little and there has been a ton of work poured into this thing.
I want to personally thank Aaron Stout for his countless hours that he spent learning a craft that none of us have had experience with as of yet. He has been learning and developing a WordPress site for us and this allows us to be more mobile and interactive with our mobile devices while on the road. iWeb has served us well over the years, but I am excited about this brand new change.
You will also see on here a better merger with Untorn.Net and our other ministry endeavors including Roots and our regular retreats. I am excited, too, about the opportunity to blog on a more consistent basis for the ministry.
Needless to say, we are excited and we hope that you enjoy the new website. Please take a look around and get familiar with the new feel of our website. We hope that you enjoy and will take advantage of it just as much as, I believe, we will!
Much love to you all!
Love your guts! Jay
A New Year: Roots & Untorn.Net
1.3.2012
With every new beginning comes the ending of another chapter. I love the new year and the potential that it can become, but I also love reflecting and learning from what could have been along with celebrating what was done with excellence. It really all comes back to the desire to hope and build upon what foundations and layers have been made. Hope brings about resolutions and changes. Hope brings about motivation and encouragement. Hope brings about a changed heart and a transformed life when followed through.
I have a ton of hope for this year for myself, my family, and for Christ-centered ministry. We have been doing retreats now under the Infuzion name for five-plus years. As an organization, we have been around for two years. The retreats are growing in number and in the strength of the Lord. It’s exciting to watch, especially over the course of a weekend! We are celebrating what God’s doing and will continue to do so 2012 develops.
Two new ministries that we felt God was putting on our hearts to begin in 2011 were Untorn.Net and Roots. We’ve had some time to develop these and we are excited to see where God brings these in this next year. We hope to reach many people with Untorn and partner with new youth ministries with Roots. Both initiatives are in need of tweaking and we are praying for Jesus to simply be the creative one behind both ministries. It’s His! It has always been His! Thank you for your continued prayer as we hope to be available for Kingdom causes as He leads it.
Take some time this week or in the near future to think about some of the things that you can be and need to be hopeful for. Hope is a key element in having faith. Faith is the certainty of things hoped for in the first place. The mind, without hope, will be motivated to turn to fear and / or simply just get by. I don’t know about you, I’ve grown tired of just getting by, I want to live, I want to thrive. I believe that this is a motivation birthed out by the Holy Spirit. This only comes by having a sold out heart to humility that is broken to the things of God.
May Jesus move in your lives, families, and ministry efforts in 2012. May you be motivated to dream, thrive, love, and cherish those that are so close to you. May the words and the efforts that flow out of you reflect the Kingdom and the hope of all things that are to come. May you honor Him with everything!
Happy, Hopeful New Year to each one of you!
With Love, Jay
